1:1 SEN Intervention Assistant
Are you passionate about making a lasting difference in a child's educational journey?
Join a supportive and welcoming school community in Slough as a 1:1 SEN Intervention Assistant.
In this vital role, you'll work closely with a specific student or a small group of students, delivering tailored interventions that help them overcome academic, emotional, or behavioural challenges and reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build experience in education or special needs support.
Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 SEN Intervention Assistant:
* Targeted Intervention: Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the student's specific needs-whether they are related to learning, social development, or behaviour.
* Lesson Adaptation: Assist in planning and delivering lessons or activities that are accessible, engaging, and adapted to the student's individual learning style and pace.
* Monitoring & Feedback: Track the student's progress and regularly share observations with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure effective support is in place.
* Emotional Support: Create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages emotional resilience, confidence, and independence.
* Collaborative Support: Work as part of a wider team-including teaching staff, SENCO, and parents-to implement consistent strategies that promote development and inclusion.
What We're Looking For:
* Empathy & Patience: A calm and understanding approach to supporting children with additional needs, particularly during moments of difficulty.
* Adaptability: A flexible mindset that recognises and responds to the unique challenges and strengths of each child.
* Clear Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
* Competitive Daily Rate: £90-£95 per day
* Location: Slough
* Schedule: Full time - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
If you're ready to start a fulfilling and impactful role as a 1:1 SEN Intervention Assistant, we'd love to hear from you.
