A supportive and inclusive school in Wokingham is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support to a pupil with additional needs and make a meaningful difference to their educational and personal development.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual pupil throughout the school day, providing tailored academic, emotional and behavioural support. You will help the pupil access the curriculum, develop independence and feel confident within the school environment.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

* Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs

* Helping the pupil access and engage with classroom learning

* Adapting activities and resources according to individual needs

* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

* Encouraging communication, confidence and independence

* Providing reassurance and consistency throughout the school day

* Supporting social interaction and positive relationships with peers

* Monitoring progress and communicating effectively with teaching staff

* Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and other professionals

The school is looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant who is patient, caring, adaptable and able to build a strong relationship with the pupil they support. Experience with SEN, ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH or other additional needs would be beneficial.
