1:1 Teaching Assistant - Stone - Start Date: As soon as possible
We are seeking a supportive and reliable 1:1 Teaching Assistant who is ready to take on the role of supporting a child on a 1:1 basis within school. You will be working on a temporary basis through a reputable supply agency within a friendly primary school in Stone.
This opportunity is the perfect fit for somebody who desires a rewarding role within the education sector, supporting a pupil on a 1:1 Teaching Assistant basis. You will play a vital role in supporting a child throughout their time within mainstream school; you must be prepared to build relationships with the child quickly in order to provide individualised support to the pupil. You will be working on a temporary basis within a supportive primary school in the heart of Stone. You will become part of a friendly staff cohort and work closely alongside each other with the child's interests at the forefront of everything that you do.
The role includes:
* Providing 1:1 Teaching Assistant support for a student with SEND, this may also be working with small group settings. Adjustments will be made on a day-to-day basis.
* To be willing to collaborate and work alongside the class teacher to create plans on how to adapt and suit the needs of the child.
* Supporting the child's personal care and needs, following the EHCP and undergoing any relevant training which may be required.
* Comfortable communicating with SENDCo, parents and external professionals.
* Experience working with SEND students in a school environment is desirable.
We are looking for someone who:
* Can support an individual pupil/pupils with their learning, personal care and behaviour in line with an education plan.
* Confidently able to implement learning activities, adapt resources and provide valuable 1:1 support during lesson time.
* Monitor progress; liaising with teachers, parents, SENDCo and external agencies.
* Able to foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
* Available to start ASAP.
* Fully registered to work for Academics.
* Holds or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
* Willing to commute to Stone daily.
Pay: £90 - £100 a day (dependent upon experience). Holiday pay is included on day rate.
