Responsibilities

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, primarily within the corporate and not-for-profit sectors.

Act as the primary point of contact for complex clients, overseeing the entire onboarding process.

Review statutory accounts and working papers prepared by junior staff to ensure high-quality delivery.

Lead the promotion and implementation of online accounting services and cloud software solutions.

Manage client billing, job recoverability, and the preparation of fee proposals.

Supervise Business Support staff, including performance appraisals and resource allocation via Retain.

As an Accounts Manager, you will:

Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA)

Work closely with Partners and Senior Management to drive department strategy.

Act on a consultancy basis for clients requiring bespoke software setup and reporting.

Brief teams on new processes and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.

Monitor delivery across the department to meet strict deadlines and budget targets.

Assist with the implementation of new systems and risk management compliance.
