About the Firm

This Top 10 firm is a market-leading brand that delivers client-centric solutions across the middle market. Based in their established London Farringdon office, the Accounting and Business Advisory team works with a wealth of businesses, ranging from small owner-managed enterprises to large corporate clients across retail, media, technology, travel, and PE-backed entities. The firm focuses on empowering its people to make an impact, offering clear pathways to develop a unique career path within a collaborative corporate culture.

As an Accounts Manager you will:

Manage a diverse portfolio of medium and large clients, acting as the primary trusted adviser and key point of contact to understand and service their business requirements.

Provide high-level GAAP support and financial reporting advisory services, utilizing detailed technical knowledge of FRS 102, FRS 101, and Companies Act reporting requirements.

Guide non-audit clients through their external audit processes by establishing timelines, managing delivery, and liaising directly with internal audit and tax departments.

Drive the growth of the department by identifying cross-selling opportunities, undertaking special advisory work, and actively participating in business development activities.

Act as a line manager to oversee the teams appraisal process, set clear development objectives, deliver technical training, and lead first-round recruitment interviews for specialist or graduate hires.

As the successful candidate you will:

Be ACA or ACCA fully qualified with at least three years+rsquo; post-qualification experience (PQE).

Possess a minimum of one year of direct experience independently managing a full portfolio of accounting clients within a public practice environment.

Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of UK financial reporting requirements, with preferred experience in IFRS and exposure to complex areas such as acquisition accounting, share-based payments, or debt modifications.

Have proven experience reviewing financial statements completed by junior staff, providing structured feedback, and managing team resource allocation against strict client budgets.

What You+rsquo;ll Receive

Hybrid working pattern requiring 3 days present in the London Farringdon office each week to support colleagues face-to-face.
