Overview

We're looking for a Level 1 Air Tightness Tester to join the UK's largest building compliance team. In this role, you'll work on domestic dwelling projects across Newcastle and nearby regions, ensuring compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations 2021.

Responsibilities
As a Level 1 Air Tightness Tester, you will:
* Conduct air tightness tests on domestic dwellings in line with regulatory standards across Newcastle.
* Perform site inspections to identify and address potential air leakage issues in the Newcastle region.
* Review architectural drawings and provide design recommendations to improve air tightness in projects around Newcastle and Surrounding Areas.
* Offer consultancy services to reduce construction risks and enhance energy efficiency.
* Prepare detailed test reports, including recommendations for remedial actions, supporting projects in Newcastle.
* Collaborate with clients and project teams to meet air tightness targets effectively across Newcastle and nearby areas.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* A Level 1 Air Tightness Tester certification (or equivalent).
* A solid understanding of Part L of the Building Regulations 2021.
* Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Strong time management and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
* A valid UK driving licence, as travel across Newcastle and surrounding areas is required.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will include:
* Traveling to various sites across Newcastle and nearby regions to conduct air tightness tests.
* Collaborating with contractors and project teams in the Newcastle area to ensure smooth test execution.
* Using tools like smoke testing to identify air leakage and provide on-the-spot advice.
* Preparing and submitting detailed test reports to clients and regulatory bodies, aiding projects in Newcastle and Surrounding Areas.
* Playing a hands-on role in improving the energy efficiency of new builds in Newcastle.
