Architectural Assistant

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £25-29,000 DOE

An established, design-focused architectural practice in Wiltshire is seeking a motivated and creative Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its friendly and supportive studio. The practice specialises in high-quality bespoke residential and commercial work and is committed to nurturing emerging talent within a collaborative team environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

* Assist in the development of drawings, plans, and visual presentation materials

* Contribute to early design work, including concept sketches and technical detailing

* Support the preparation of planning and building control submissions

* Help create mood boards, diagrams, and client-facing visual content

* Assist with administrative tasks such as schedules and basic costing documents

* Participate in site visits and support coordination with consultants and contractors

* Engage in internal design reviews and team workshops

* Conduct research into construction techniques, materials, and regulations

Requirements:

* A recognised architectural qualification (Part 1 or Part 2)

* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential; familiarity with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous

* A strong foundation in architectural concepts and an understanding of UK construction practices

* Good presentation, drawing, and visual communication skills

* Attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks to deadlines

* A collaborative attitude, eagerness to learn, and a proactive mindset

* Part 2 applicants must have some practice experience; for Part 1 applicants, this is desirable but not required
