Architectural Technician

Location: Exeter

Salary: £25-35,000 DOE

A well-established property and design practice with deep roots in the South West is seeking a Graduate to Intermediate Architectural Technician to join its growing architecture team at the Exeter head office. Specialising in small-to-medium scale residential projects, the team works on everything from bespoke new builds to conversions and extensions, offering integrated design and planning services from concept through to completion.

Daily Duties

* Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD for various project stages

* Assist with feasibility studies, site surveys, and design development

* Prepare documentation for planning applications and building regulations

* Collaborate with in-house planning and development specialists

* Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to coordinate project delivery

* Support design reviews and contribute creative ideas to project solutions

Ideal Candidate

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or related field

* Proficient in AutoCAD, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant project work

* Interest or experience in small-to-medium scale residential projects

* Understanding of UK planning processes and building regulations advantageous

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Detail-oriented, organised, and eager to develop within a growing design team
