Architectural Technician
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30-35,000
A forward thinking, design focused architectural practice is seeking an Architectural Technician to join its Southampton based team. The studio has a strong track record of delivering successful residential schemes in partnership with leading national house builders and continues to secure a consistent pipeline of housing projects. This is a great opportunity to join a growing and motivated team committed to delivering high quality residential developments.
The role of Architectural Technician will involve:
* Producing accurate and detailed technical drawings for large scale residential schemes
* Working closely with architects, planners, consultants, and clients to ensure design intent and project requirements are met
* Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and NHBC standards throughout all stages
* Offering support and guidance to junior colleagues where appropriate
* Attending project and client meetings, contributing to coordination and design discussions
The successful Architectural Technician will have:
* A degree, HNC or HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
* Demonstrable experience working with national house builders in the UK
* Strong technical ability with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
* Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods
* Ability to independently manage workload across multiple live projects
* Strong communication skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset
