Architectural Technician

Location: Southampton

Salary: £34-38,000

An innovative and design-led architectural practice is looking to recruit an Architectural Technician to join its growing team in Southampton. Renowned for delivering high-quality residential developments alongside major national house builders, the practice has built a strong reputation within the housing sector and continues to secure a steady stream of exciting projects. This presents an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technician to become part of a collaborative and ambitious studio focused on delivering well-executed residential schemes.

The role of Architectural Technician will involve:

* Preparing detailed technical drawings and construction packages for residential developments

* Collaborating with architects, consultants, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved

* Maintaining compliance with UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and current industry legislation

* Providing support to junior team members and assisting with project coordination where required

* Participating in client and design team meetings, contributing technical input throughout the project lifecycle

The successful Architectural Technician will have:

* A degree, HNC, or HND in Architectural Technology or a similar discipline

* Previous experience working on residential developments with UK national house builders

* Excellent technical knowledge and strong attention to detail

* Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software

* Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and residential construction methods

* Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently when needed

* Strong communication and organisational skills with a collaborative approach
