Pay Scale: £89.00 - £100.00 per day
Are you a caring and enthusiastic ASD Support Assistant looking to support pupils with autism in a rewarding school environment?
Do you have experience working with children with ASD or a passion for supporting those with additional needs?
A nurturing and inclusive Specialist School in Thatcham is seeking an ASD Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils on the autism spectrum, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop key life skills.
As an ASD Support Assistant, your role will include:
* Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
* Supporting communication, interaction, and sensory needs
* Implementing structured routines and strategies tailored to individual pupils
* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Working alongside teachers and other support staff to deliver engaging lessons
* Creating a calm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
* ASAP start in a well-connected Thatcham location
This position is ideal for someone with a background in education, care, or support work, particularly with experience in autism. A good understanding of SEN and ASD strategies is highly desirable.
