Do you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing high-quality finished parts? Are you practical, detail-focused, and comfortable working with tools in a manufacturing environment?
We're recruiting for a Assembly Operative to join a well-established and growing metal manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Cleaning and smoothing edges of manufactured components
* Removing burrs, sharp edges, slag, and residues from metal parts
* Using hand tools, grinders, files, and finishing equipment
* Operating bead blasting equipment
* Preparing components by masking or protecting critical areas
* Inspecting parts before and after finishing processes
* Working from drawings and specific finishing instructions
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area
* Working in line with company quality and safety standards
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing role is beneficial but not essential
* Comfortable using hand tools or power tools
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Good practical skills and manual dexterity
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
* Comfortable working within a production environment
* A driver's licence and own vehicle are essential
