Assembly Operative - Immediate Start Available
Monday to Friday | Day Shift
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a busy and well-established engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-perm position with immediate starts available, ideal for candidates with mechanical assembly experience looking to secure long-term employment within a growing manufacturing business.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and testing of a range of mechanical products and sub-assemblies within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Building assemblies to specification using engineering drawings and work instructions
* Using hand tools, air tools, battery-powered tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
* Checking kits and components prior to assembly and reporting any discrepancies
* Carrying out basic fault finding, repair and rebuild work when required
* Maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness and housekeeping within the work area
* Reporting component faults, assembly issues, or production concerns to supervision
* Working in line with company health & safety and quality procedures
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
* Experience using hand and power tools within an engineering environment
* Able to work efficiently to production deadlines
* Flexible, reliable and proactive approach to work
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
