Assistant Accountant Location: Nottinghamshire (Hybrid working) Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE) Are you an ambitious finance professional actively studying and looking for your next step? We are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established and expanding manufacturing organisation in Nottinghamshire. The Role Reporting into senior finance leadership, you’ll support the month-end process, management reporting and budgeting activities, while gaining hands-on experience across the wider finance function. You’ll work closely with operational teams, contributing to improved financial insight and helping to embed stronger processes as the business evolves. Key Responsibilities Support the month-end close process, including journals, accruals and reconciliationAssist with preparation of management informationProcess and maintain sales ledger and purchase ledger activitiesSupport credit control and monitor aged debtAssist with cashflow monitoring and bank reconciliationsHelp maintain accurate financial records and reporting schedulesProvide general finance support across the team during busy periodsAbout You Actively studying (AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)Experience within a finance function (manufacturing is desirable)Strong Excel skills and attention to detailProactive, organised and eager to learnKeen to progress and build a long-term finance careerThis is an excellent opportunity for a driven Assistant Accountant who wants progression, exposure and the chance to grow within a transforming manufacturing business.
