Bradley Murphy Design is a growing, multidisciplinary practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality ecological and environmental consultancy. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Experienced Assistant Ecologist to join our Birmingham team.

The Role

You'll support and deliver a wide range of ecological projects across the UK, working closely with senior ecologists and other disciplines. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build on solid consultancy experience within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities of an Experienced Assistant Ecologist

*

Assisting with and undertaking ecological surveys (including Phase 1 habitat, protected species surveys, and monitoring)

*

Supporting the production of ecological reports, including PEAs, EcIAs, and method statements

*

Desk studies, data collection, and fieldwork coordination

*

Liaising with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders

*

Supporting project delivery to agreed timescales and budgets

About You

*

Degree in Ecology or a related discipline

*

Proven experience working in ecological consultancy

*

Strong field survey skills and report-writing experience

*

Good knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experienced Assistant Ecologist

*

Protected species survey licences (or working towards them)

*

Membership of CIEEM (or eligibility)
