The Role

As an Assistant Town Planner, you will support senior colleagues in preparing and submitting planning applications, conducting research, and engaging with clients and local authorities. You'll gain experience across all aspects of the planning process, from site appraisals and feasibility studies to appeals and policy work.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents

*

Conduct planning research and site appraisals

*

Support in preparing planning statements, appeal documentation, and policy representations

*

Liaise with local planning authorities and stakeholders under supervision

*

Help manage project timelines and ensure deliverables are met

About You

*

RTPI-accredited degree or master's in Town Planning or a related discipline

*

Some relevant work experience (placement year or internship desirable but not essential)

*

Strong written and verbal communication skills

*

Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

*

A genuine interest in planning and the built environment
