Associate Geotechnical Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000

An established engineering consultancy is looking for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team. This is a senior position suited to a Chartered Engineer with around 10 years' experience across ground investigation and geotechnical design.

The role will involve a combination of technical delivery, project management, client liaison and supporting the continued growth of the geotechnical team.

The Role

* Lead and deliver geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and construction.

* Manage ground investigation projects, including planning, specification and interpretation of results.

* Undertake and review geotechnical analysis and design.

* Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and design documentation.

* Provide technical input across multidisciplinary infrastructure and development projects.

* Manage project budgets, programmes and resources.

* Liaise directly with clients, contractors and other design disciplines.

* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and senior engineers.

* Support business development and help develop existing client relationships.

* Contribute to the continued growth and development of the geotechnical team.

About You

* Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification.

* Around 10 years' experience in geotechnical engineering.

* Strong experience across ground investigation and geotechnical design.

* Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant design standards.

* Experience managing projects and working directly with clients.

* Strong technical report writing and communication skills.

* Commercially aware with an interest in business development and team development.

* Full UK driving licence desirable.
