The Role
As an Associate Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing a diverse project portfolio while supporting junior team members and driving client relationships. You'll play a central role in preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals, developing planning strategies, and contributing to the consultancy's commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing planning applications, appeals, and site promotions
*
Providing expert planning advice to clients across multiple sectors
*
Leading on project delivery and overseeing junior colleagues
*
Preparing planning statements, assessments, and technical reports
*
Engaging in pre-application discussions and liaising with local authorities
*
Supporting business development, client networking, and fee proposals
*
Monitoring emerging planning policy and advising clients accordingly
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded and confident Associate Town Planner with strong technical ability and a proactive approach.
Requirements:

RTPI-accredited degree and MRTPI status
*
Relevant years of experience in a planning consultancy or similar environment
*
Strong project management and client-facing experience
*
Excellent report writing and communication skills
*
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deadlines
*
A collaborative attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work
*
Full UK driving licence
