General Practice Senior Accountant | 15 Partner Firm | Central London

Specialising in growing businesses predominantly in the Professional Services, Creative, and Hospitality sectors+mdash;ranging from +pound;1m to +pound;100m turnover+mdash;the firm focuses on creating well-rounded general practice professionals across audit, accounts, and tax.
As a General Practice Senior Accountant you will:
Act as the primary day-to-day contact for an emerging client portfolio across creative, hospitality, and professional services sectors.
Conduct audit testing, section planning, and analytical reviews independently, ensuring fully documented files and mitigated risks.
Produce fully reconciled draft management accounts with commercial commentary and process improvement recommendations.
Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax calculations, personal/partnership tax, and VAT returns across various schemes.
Lead on-site engagement teams by training, directing, and reviewing the work of junior trainees to ensure clean manager reviews.
As the successful candidate you will:
Be an ACCA or ACA studier, with a strong exam record.
Experience as the acting Senior on audit engagements.
Possess demonstrable recent experience gained within a UK accountancy practice managing varied client portfolios.
Have proven proficiency in cloud accounting platforms and software tools including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel.
Demonstrate active WIP budget management, flagging potential project overruns early to maintain commercial profitability.
