Autism Support Worker - Swindon | Full-Time / Part-Time | £85-£110 Per Day | Immediate Start
Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join a welcoming primary school in Swindon. As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to understand each child's individual needs and provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day.
The Role of an Autism Support Worker
As an Autism Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing dedicated one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with Autism and additional learning needs.
* Supporting children with Autism to engage with lessons, classroom activities and the wider school environment.
* Following and implementing individual support strategies and recommendations outlined in pupils' support plans.
* Helping pupils understand and follow classroom routines, instructions and transitions
* Supporting children to recognise and manage their emotions

The successful Autism Support Worker will be patient, empathetic and committed to supporting children with additional needs. You should be able to build positive relationships with pupils and remain calm and consistent when supporting children who may experience communication difficulties, sensory sensitivities or emotional dysregulation.
