Automotive Operative
Daventry | £13 - £15 per hour | Mon-Thurs (8am-5pm) | Fri (8am-1pm)
Do you enjoy hands-on work and have an interest in automotive or motorsport interiors? Are you practical, detail-focused, and keen to learn specialist skills within a growing manufacturing environment?
We're recruiting for a Automotive Operative to join a friendly and well-established automotive manufacturer based in Daventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with upholstery or trimming experience, but we are also very open to candidates with little or no experience who have a genuine desire to learn.
What you'll be doing:
* Upholstery and trimming of automotive interior components, including seats and interior panels
* Working with materials such as leather, vinyl, carpet, and polyester
* Adhesive application and bonding processes
* Component assembly and fitting
* Finishing and quality inspection of completed products
* Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
* Working in line with company quality standards
What we're looking for:
* Experience in upholstery, trimming, or a similar hands-on role is beneficial but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Good manual dexterity and practical skills
* Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
* Comfortable working within a production / manufacturing environment
* Interest in automotive or motorsport work is highly desirable
