Are you passionate about supporting young people who face behavioural and emotional challenges? Are you looking to gain practical experience in education, mental health, or youth work as a Behaviour Mentor?
A supportive specialist school in Reading is looking for an enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This Behaviour Mentor role involves working closely with pupils who require additional support to manage their behaviour, engage with learning, and develop positive coping strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support as a Behaviour Mentor
* Build positive relationships with pupils and act as a role model
* Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies
* Help pupils develop emotional regulation and social skills
* Work alongside teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment
This Behaviour Mentor position is ideal for graduates considering careers in educational psychology, counselling, social work, youth work, or teaching. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will gain valuable experience supporting children with SEMH needs, ADHD, ASD, and behavioural difficulties.
The successful Behaviour Mentor will be resilient, patient, and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
