Are you calm, resilient, and passionate about helping young people manage their behaviour and emotions?

A supportive and inclusive SEN and SEMH school in Reading is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team. This full-time role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Counselling, or individuals with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.

You will be working with pupils aged 11 to 18 who present with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, trauma-related behaviours, and emotional regulation difficulties.

Key Details:

* Role: Behaviour Mentor

* Location: Reading

* Salary: £89-£100 per day

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

* Start Date: ASAP

* Age Group: Children and young people aged 11 to 18

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

Support students through behaviour intervention plans, implement de-escalation strategies, and provide 1:1 and small group support. You'll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and mental health professionals to help pupils regulate emotions and engage positively with learning.

This Behaviour Mentor role offers invaluable hands-on experience in behaviour management, trauma-informed practice, and therapeutic education, making it an excellent stepping stone into careers in psychology, therapy, youth work, or teaching.
