Behaviour & Pastoral Support Assistant (Secondary School)
A welcoming secondary school in Thanet is seeking a Behaviour & Pastoral Support Assistant to join its pastoral team and help make a real difference to the lives of students facing behavioural and emotional challenges.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with young people, has excellent communication skills and wants to support students to overcome barriers to learning.
Role Overview
* Provide targeted behaviour and pastoral support to secondary-aged students, helping them re-engage with education and build positive pathways for the future.
* Use flexible, responsive strategies to support students' social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
* Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to foster resilience and inclusion.
* Work as part of a compassionate pastoral team committed to high expectations and pupil wellbeing.
Person Specification
* Experience working with young people in behaviour support, pastoral care, or a similar role (desirable).
* Strong understanding of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
* Excellent communicator with the ability to manage challenging situations with patience, empathy, and consistency.
* A genuine commitment to enabling young people to succeed.
