A welcoming and inclusive alternative provision in Hull is seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who need additional support with behaviour, social skills, and emotional regulation, helping them to engage positively in their learning.

About the Role of a Behavioural Support Assistant:

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with identified behavioural or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs

* Work alongside teaching staff, the SENCo, and pastoral team to implement personalised support strategies

* Help students build resilience, self-confidence, and positive relationships with peers and staff

* Support with de-escalation techniques and maintain a calm, nurturing environment

* Monitor student progress and contribute to behaviour support plans where needed

What You'll Bring:

* Previous experience supporting young people with behavioural or SEMH needs (school, youth work, or similar settings)

* Patience, empathy, and strong relationship-building skills

* Confidence in using positive behaviour management strategies

* A calm, proactive, and flexible approach to challenges
