Overview:

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join a highly reputable Blood Sciences Department within a prestigious private healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and specialist laboratory techniques within Blood Sciences, including Biochemistry, Haematology, and Immunology.

Process and analyse a wide range of patient samples ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain a variety of automated laboratory equipment after competency-based training.

Participate in internal and external quality control and assurance programs.

Assist in stock control management and evaluation of new equipment and procedures.

Adhere strictly to laboratory policies, procedures, and UKAS accreditation standards.

Support senior biomedical scientists and contribute to continuous service improvements.

Requirements:

HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist (Blood Sciences discipline).

Proven post-registration experience within a UKAS-accredited Blood Sciences laboratory.

Strong technical skills across Biochemistry, Haematology, or Immunology disciplines.

Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and handling patient data.

A team-focused approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding service quality.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Initially core hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), moving to a 24/7 rota once competencies are signed off.

Initial contract duration of 3 months , with potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
