Looking for a chef role with daytime hours and every weekend off?
We're recruiting a Breakfast & Pastry Chef to join the catering team at a prestigious independent school in Sevenoaks. Working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, you'll help prepare breakfast for boarding students before producing homemade desserts for around 700 lunches each day.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys baking, thrives in a busy kitchen and is looking for an excellent work-life balance.
The Role
* Prepare cooked and continental breakfasts
* Produce homemade desserts including crumbles, brownies, traybakes, muffins, cookies and pies
* Support lunch, hospitality and special events
* Cater for dietary requirements
* Maintain excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards
* Support the Head Chef and deputise when required
About You
You'll ideally have experience as a:
* Breakfast Chef
* Pastry Chef
* Chef de Partie
* School Chef
* Contract Catering Chef
* High Volume Catering Chef
You'll also have:
* Experience producing quality food in a busy kitchen
* Excellent organisation and time management
* A passion for fresh food
* Strong food hygiene standards
* A positive, flexible approach and great teamwork skills
