A forward-thinking, sustainability-driven building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Building Physics Consultant to join its growing team in Manchester. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with a passion for energy-efficient design and building performance modelling to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools such as IES-VE.

Ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 1-2 years of relevant experience, this role provides structured development and a clear pathway into sustainability consultancy or building performance engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in developing IES-VE models

* Support dynamic thermal simulation, Part L compliance checks, overheating assessments (TM52/TM59), and daylight analysis

* Contribute to the delivery of low-energy, sustainable design solutions in line with UK standards and environmental targets

* Help prepare technical reports and communicate key findings to internal design teams

* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including M&E engineers, architects, and sustainability specialists to deliver integrated designs

About You:

* Degree-qualified (or with equivalent experience) in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

* A keen interest in sustainable building design, energy modelling, and environmental performance

* Basic familiarity with IES-VE or similar simulation software

* Detail-oriented with good analytical and communication skills

* Based in or near Manchester, or open to relocation

* Must have the right to work in the UK
