Day-to-Day

Your daily responsibilities will include:

* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable building designs.

* Utilizing advanced simulation tools to optimize energy performance and compliance.

* Engaging with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.

* Staying updated on the latest advancements in building physics and renewable technologies.

* Contributing to the development of innovative solutions for energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.

Responsibilities

As a Building Physics Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

* Conducting energy modelling and building simulation to support sustainable design.

* Delivering projects for Part L compliance, CIBSE TM59/52 overheating analysis, Approved Document O compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM54 operational energy assessments, and SAP assessments.

* Performing early design modelling with a focus on passive design measures.

* Liaising effectively with design teams, statutory authorities, and contractors to ensure project success.

* Supporting marketing and business development activities to promote building physics expertise.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

* Proficiency in IES VE software, including Model IT, ApacheSim, VistaPro, MacroFlo, and VE Compliance.

* Demonstrated experience in building physics, energy modeling, and building simulation.

* Proven track record of completing Part L compliance, EPCs, and CIBSE TM59/52 overheating analysis.

* A proactive approach to project involvement and problem-solving.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with design teams and contractors.

* A solid understanding of building regulations and their application in design.
