Calling all Buyers with a manufacturing / engineering background! Are you currently available to undertake a six month contract for a fantastic manufacturing business near Ashton Under Lyne?
You would be working as part of a supportive, close-knit Purchasing team, and there is real potential for the role to be made permanent after the initial contract term.
What will the role involve?
* Sourcing and purchasing a wide range of parts and products
* Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
* Raising POs and scheduling / expediting deliveries
* Identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation and/or SKU rationalisation
* Working to deliver cost savings to the business
* Supporting the company's inventory reduction initiative

Ideal Skills and Experience
* Previous purchasing experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Experience buying parts from engineering drawings / technical specifications
* Confident negotiation and expediting skills
* High attention to detail with good ERP skills
* Passion to develop your procurement skills and progress your career!
