Civil Infrastructure Engineer - Glasgow

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Glasgow. In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and public realm improvements. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable infrastructure solutions for both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities of this Civil Engineer role:

* Design and deliver civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction

* Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports

* Undertake drainage design and highway design using industry-standard software

* Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities

* Support project planning, cost estimation, and programme management

* Ensure projects comply with relevant UK standards and regulations

* Provide technical support to junior engineers and technicians where required

Requirements of this Civil Engineer role:

* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

* 2-5+ years' experience in civil or infrastructure engineering

* Working knowledge of infrastructure design software (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar)

* Strong understanding of UK design standards and regulations

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

* Progress toward chartership (ICE or similar) is desirable
