Location: Near Fareham

Salary: £24,222 - £25,626 per annum

The Criminal Records Office supports UK and international law enforcement by processing criminal records for the purposes of public protection, safeguarding and worldwide community safety.

About the role

They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with an interest in communications to join their small team.

You will play an essential support role within the communications team and your work will include:

* Supporting internal communications activity, including compiling their weekly staff bulletin

* Carrying out research into promoting the organisation through its website and social media

* Providing promotional support for events and activities run by the organisation's staff groups

* Researching and drafting content for internal and external channels

* Ensuring their team's intranet pages and document libraries are well-organised and managed effectively

* Taking photographs at events and maintaining their image consent library

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

* Educated to QCF Level 2 (2-3 passes).

* CIPR/CIM Foundation (Level 3) OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.

* Awareness of the communications environment or associated tasks.

* Experience of working in a busy office.

Desirable:

* Experience of using social media in a professional or volunteer capacity.

* Evidence of an interest in police or public sector work.
