Cover supervisor - Stoke-on-Trent - ASAP Start - Daily Supply
Are you looking to gain more classroom experience before starting teacher training, or simply enjoy flexible work within education?
Academics are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Staffordshire and Cheshire to cover short-term absences and support daily school operations.
The role involves:
* Supervising lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes across a range of subjects using pre-set work.
* Maintaining a positive learning environment and managing behaviour effectively.
* Supporting students as they work independently.
* Building rapport with students and colleagues quickly.
This is a great opportunity for graduates, trainee teachers, or anyone with experience in youth work, coaching, or tutoring who's interested in working in education.
Our requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people in any capacity (e.g., schools, youth work, sports coaching etc).
* Strong subject knowledge across a range of subjects (in particular Maths and English) - evidenced by GCSEs.
* Strong behaviour management skills in the classroom and ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Flexibility and reliability.
