Day Care Coordinator/Manager

Location: Kettering

Hours: 9-3 Monday to Friday 30 hours per week (part-time)

Salary: £22,323.60 per annum pro rata (£27,532.44 FTE)

Contract: 6-month contract with the opportunity for a permanent position upon completion.

Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients who provide high-quality day care services for older people. They are seeking a compassionate and motivated Day Care Coordinator to lead their well-established day centre in Kettering

This is a part-time role, working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. You'll be leading and supporting a small team of two dedicated Care Assistants.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

* Leading and supporting the care team through regular supervisions and annual performance appraisals.

* Ensuring the centre is safely and effectively always staffed, arranging cover for absences and actively participating in staff recruitment.

* Taking overall responsibility for the health, safety, and wellbeing of clients, staff, and volunteers within the day centre.

* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of each client's care needs and ensuring Care Plans are accurate and regularly reviewed.

* Planning and delivering a programme of engaging, stimulating daily activities and events tailored to the interests and abilities of clients.

* Coordinating with the Transport Coordinator to ensure transport arrangements are safe, efficient, and meet client needs.

* Supporting clients with queries related to their placement invoices, ensuring clarity and understanding.

* Conducting thorough annual reviews for all clients, with timely updates to their files and records.

* Performing interim reviews when there are significant changes in a client's circumstances or care requirements.

* Managing safeguarding concerns confidently and independently, including making formal referrals when necessary.

Essential Requirements:

* Management skills

* Experience with working with the Elderly or in Care

* Excellent leadership and organisational skills

* A caring and professional approach to working with older people

* Strong communication and admin skills

* Confidence in safeguarding procedures and client care reviews

* Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively
