Academics, acting as an agency, are recruiting an innovative and motivated Design and Technology (DT) Teacher for a flexible, temporary ongoing position within secondary schools across Doncaster.
Position: Design and Technology Teacher

Contract: Flexible working pattern, temporary ongoing
School: Supportive and inclusive secondary schools in Doncaster
Pay: £140 - £195 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available, inclusive of holiday pay)
About the Role
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. This flexible role allows you to choose your working pattern, making it ideal for teachers seeking work-life balance or varied school experiences across Doncaster.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Design and Technology.
* Teach across a range of DT specialisms (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Food, or Graphics).
* Adapt lessons to suit pupils' varying ability levels and learning needs.
* Maintain a safe and organised classroom/workshop environment.
* Encourage innovation, independence, and practical skill development.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Uphold high standards of behaviour, safety, and safeguarding.
Candidate Requirements
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent).
✔ Degree or specialism in Design and Technology (or related field).
✔ Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4.
✔ Strong classroom management and communication skills.
✔ A creative and adaptable approach to teaching.
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
