A well-established organisation committed to energy efficiency and community well-being is currently seeking a Domestic Energy Consultant to join its team in Leicester. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with local residents, providing expert advice on reducing energy usage, improving home comfort, and accessing funding for energy-saving measures.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering practical, personalised energy advice to householders-either in person or remotely-with the aim of supporting warmer, greener, and more cost-effective homes.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored advice on domestic energy efficiency to residents

Identify suitable energy-saving measures, funding schemes, and retrofit opportunities
*
Conduct home visits or remote assessments depending on resident needs
*
Prepare clear and easy-to-understand reports, guidance notes, and follow-up documentation
*
Liaise with local authorities, installers, and third-party organisations
*
Keep up to date with current government initiatives, grants, and policy developments in domestic energy
Candidate Requirements
*
Strong verbal and written communication skills
*
Organised and able to manage a varied caseload
*
Sound understanding of domestic energy efficiency principles
*
Ideally holds a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification
*
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
