Driver Logistics Controller

£55,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a fast-moving, people-focused environment? We're looking for a Driver Logistics Controller to lead a high-performing team and ensure efficient, compliant driver operations across multiple sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivery performance, route optimisation and operational excellence within a growing business.
What you'll be doing;
* Overseeing and scheduling daily driver activity for deliveries, collections and vehicle transfers across several locations
* Ensuring all movements are accurately logged and coordinated through core platforms and driver mobile applications
* Leading and developing a Driver Controller team, including regular site visits to support multiple branches
* Monitoring app usage, GPS tracking and data accuracy to maintain full visibility of driver activity
* Planning and optimising routes to reduce mileage, improve delivery times and control costs
* Maintaining strong communication with internal teams, upholding KPIs and resolving operational challenges
* Ensuring strict compliance with UK road safety regulations and driver hours
* Keeping comprehensive operational records and reporting against SLAs
* Managing driver logistics P&L performance, budgeting and cost control
What we're looking for;
* Proven experience in logistics, transport coordination or fleet operations at a managerial level
* A strong people manager with experience leading driver-focused teams across multiple sites
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Confident using logistics or route-optimisation software / mobile workforce systems
* Experience managing budgets and delivering improvements in service and efficiency
* Strong knowledge of UK driving regulations and DVLA compliance
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational demands
