Location: Stamford, Lincolnshire

Salary: Competitive

The school is a thriving, purpose-built, independent day school for 300 boys and girls aged between 2 and 11.

They are located on a farm, surrounded by 300 acres of beautiful rural countryside in south Lincolnshire and has an excellent musical reputation.

The Role

In this role, you will enthuse and inspire students and develop strategies to help them achieve their best.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons to students, ensuring effective learning takes place and students make excellent progress.

Key Responsibilities:

* Arrange timetables for individual lessons, and be able to adapt these (often at short notice) in response to other activities/events taking place within the school

* Teach in accordance with their Vision and Aims which puts children at the heart of their learning

* Communicate with parents during the year as appropriate including meeting parents during the 'meet the teacher' sessions

* Set achievable targets with appropriate challenge for each individual

* Write end of year reports for the pupils

* Provide support in preparing the students for recitals, concerts, auditions and exams as appropriate

* Provide opportunities for ensemble playing as appropriate

* Get involved in Music Department wider events as part of the team

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

* Grade 8 ABRSM

* Experience teaching the ABRSM and/or Rock School syllabus

Desirable:

* Additional professional qualification

* Piano accompanist experience

* An up-to-date knowledge of current, effective teaching practices

* Evidence of comprehensive and continued professional development

* Experience of working collaboratively within a fast paced and demanding community
