Early Years Teaching Assistant - Worksop

Academics are working with a number of supportive primary schools in Worksop who are seeking dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistants to join them on a temporary, ongoing supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping young children thrive during their first years of education.
Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant in Worksop, you will provide valuable classroom support within Nursery and Reception, helping children develop key learning, communication, and social skills.
Working closely with the class teacher, the Early Years Teaching Assistant will support engaging EYFS activities, encourage positive behaviour, and help create a stimulating learning environment where every child can flourish.
This Early Years Teaching Assistant role offers flexibility while allowing you to gain experience across a variety of Worksop primary schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Support children within Nursery and Reception classes
* Assist with EYFS learning activities and classroom routines
* Deliver small group and individual support where required
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development
* Prepare learning resources and classroom displays
* Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
* Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards
Candidate Requirements
* Level 3 CACHE or NVQ qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning or Early Years (essential)
* Previous experience within an EYFS setting
* Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
* Positive, caring and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
