We're representing a respected environmental consultancy that is looking to appoint an Ecologist to join its growing team based in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking consultancy delivering ecological support across a diverse range of residential, commercial, infrastructure and environmental improvement projects. You'll work alongside experienced specialists in a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and long-term career development.

As an Ecologist, you'll be involved in every stage of project delivery, carrying out ecological surveys, preparing technical reports and supporting clients through the planning process. The role offers a varied workload, exposure to a broad range of sites and the opportunity to develop your technical expertise within an experienced team.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in ecological consultancy or a comparable ecological position

* Experience completing habitat surveys and producing detailed ecological reports

* Good understanding of UK ecological legislation and the planning system

* Membership of CIEEM or working towards membership

* Full UK driving licence

* Full right to work in the UK

* Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

* Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cambridge office
