About the Role

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and creative Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Art & Design to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school near Braintree from September.

This role is perfect for a motivated individual at the start of their teaching career who is eager to inspire young people and develop their teaching practice within a nurturing and collaborative environment. You will join a dedicated Art department committed to encouraging creativity, self-expression, and artistic excellence across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5).

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging and imaginative Art & Design lessons

* Inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence, and technical skills

* Assess and monitor student progress in line with school policies

* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

* Take part in the school's structured ECT induction programme

* Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as art clubs, trips, and exhibitions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it

* A degree in Art, Design, or a related subject

* A strong passion for art education and student engagement

* Good classroom management skills and a positive, proactive attitude

* A commitment to continuous professional development
