We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary academy in Braintree that is seeking a dedicated Maths ECT to join their dynamic and supportive team. This Braintree academy is committed to academic excellence and provides a structured ECT programme designed to help every Maths ECT thrive and develop into an outstanding practitioner.
Job Overview:
* This secondary academy caters for pupils aged 11-16.
* Full-time Maths ECT position, Monday - Friday.
* Deliver engaging and well-structured maths lessons across Key Stages within Braintree.
* Plan, prepare and assess student progress as a Maths ECT.
* Support pupils in building confidence, problem-solving skills, and numerical understanding.
* Work collaboratively with experienced staff within the Braintree academy environment.
This Maths ECT role in Braintree offers excellent mentoring, reduced timetable, and ongoing CPD. Each Maths ECT is fully supported by experienced colleagues, ensuring a smooth and successful transition into teaching within this Braintree academy.
What we're looking for:
* Qualified Maths ECT (or soon to achieve QTS).
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for mathematics.
* A committed Maths ECT eager to develop professionally in Braintree.
* Good classroom management skills and a positive teaching approach.
* Passion for raising attainment and supporting student progress.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
