Are you a hands-on Engineering Supervisor looking for a stable, well-supported role in a prestigious financial services environment?

We’re recruiting for a skilled and proactive professional to take ownership of a modern Banking site in Canary Wharf.

This is a unique opportunity to run a site with real autonomy while still benefiting from strong support from an experienced Contract Manager and on-site personnel.

The Role

You’ll operate as the lead engineer on site, overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems. This is a balanced role, with an expected 50/50 split between hands-on work and administrative duties (subject to tenant occupancy).

Key Responsibilities

- Carrying out Electrical & Mechanical PPMs and reactive maintenance

- Managing and supervising subcontractors

- Overseeing compliance documentation, including logbooks and E-log systems

- Preparing and reviewing RAMS and issuing PTWs

- Ensuring site compliance and high service delivery standards

- Acting as the primary point of contact for engineering on site

What’s on Offer

- Salary: £55,000 per annum

- Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (No callout)

- Some overtime built into the contract

- Single-person site initially, with budget approved to grow the team if required

- Strong administrative support from an experienced Contract Manager

- Additional on-site support via tenant-employed handyman (Northern Trust)

About You

- Electrically or mechanically qualified (ideally with multi-skilled experience)

- Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role

- Strong understanding of compliance, RAMS, and permit-to-work systems

- Comfortable managing subcontractors and working independently

- Experience in commercial or financial services environments is desirable

If you’re looking for a role that offers autonomy, support, and long-term stability within a high-end client environment, this could be the perfect next step.
