We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Buckinghamshire, rated "Good" by Ofsted. They are now seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, permanent role.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play an important role in developing students' literacy, critical thinking, and appreciation for literature.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about English and keen to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking department.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where appropriate).

Inspire and motivate students, supporting both their academic progress and personal development.
*
Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum.
*
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning and improvement.
*
Support and participate in extracurricular activities, such as reading clubs, drama productions, or creative writing initiatives.
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, engaging, and effective learning environment.
What We Are Looking For
*
A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).
*
Right to work in the UK.
*
Experience teaching English at GCSE level (A-Level experience is desirable but not essential).
*
A genuine passion for English and the ability to engage and inspire students.
*
Strong organisational and communication skills.
*
A positive, proactive approach to teaching and student development.
*
The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
