Academics, acting as an agency, are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for a flexible, temporary ongoing position within secondary schools across Chesterfield.
Position: English Teacher (Qualified)
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Contract: Flexible working pattern, temporary ongoing
School: Supportive and inclusive secondary schools across Chesterfield
Pay: £140 - £195 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available, inclusive of holiday pay)
About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering creative and thought-provoking lessons that build confidence in reading, writing, and communication. This flexible position offers the opportunity to work across a range of schools in Chesterfield, making it ideal for teachers seeking variety, work-life balance, or new classroom experiences.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.
* Prepare pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations.
* Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for English.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning environment.
* Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities where appropriate.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils.
Candidate Requirements
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent).
✔ Degree in English or a related subject.
✔ Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
✔ Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
✔ A creative, engaging, and flexible approach to teaching.
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
