Academics is recruiting an inspirational English Teacher to join a successful and forward-thinking department on a 12-month maternity cover, starting January 2026. For the right candidate, an earlier start can be arranged.
The Role:
* Teach English across KS3 and KS4
* Deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons
* Inspire students and support strong progress and exam outcomes
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
* Plan and assess in line with school and department policies
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with an English specialism
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English Language and Literature
* A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching for all students
* A positive team player who brings enthusiasm, ambition, and fresh ideas
