The practice is recognised for delivering high-quality residential and commercial architecture across rural and countryside locations throughout the South West. Its portfolio includes bespoke homes, conversions, commercial developments, and heritage and conservation projects, all driven by a strong commitment to context-sensitive, landscape-led design.

Daily Duties

* Leading and supporting projects from concept through to completion

* Preparing and submitting planning applications, including statements and supporting documentation, with administrative support

* Managing the planning process and liaising with local authorities

* Producing high-quality design proposals and technical drawings

* Undertaking site visits across North Devon and the wider South West

* Delivering sustainable, context-sensitive rural architecture

Ideal Candidate

* Fully qualified Architect with proven UK practice experience

* Strong planning knowledge, including hands-on experience preparing and managing planning applications

* Background in rural, residential, or commercial projects

* Excellent design, technical, and presentation skills

* Proficient in Revit (with D5 Render, SketchUp, and similar tools advantageous)

* Confident communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach

* Passionate about rural architecture and sympathetic, landscape-led design

* Willing to support and mentor junior team members
