Academics are working with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout Doncaster who are looking to recruit dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants on a temporary, ongoing supply basis.
This EYFS Teaching Assistant role offers flexibility, variety and the opportunity to support children at the very beginning of their education while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.
Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will support children within Nursery and Reception classes, helping them develop confidence, communication skills and independence through engaging, play-based learning.
Working closely with class teachers and Early Years practitioners, the EYFS Teaching Assistant will help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive. This Doncaster role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about early years education and enjoy making a positive difference during children's first experiences of school.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning across Nursery and Reception classes
* Deliver small group and one-to-one activities to support children's development
* Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
* Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development
* Support children's communication, literacy and numeracy skills through play-based learning
* Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Candidate Requirements
* Level 3 CACHE or NVQ qualification in Childcare, Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning (essential)
* Previous experience within an EYFS or primary school setting is desirable
* Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
* Patient, caring and reliable approach
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
