EYFS/KS1 Tutor - EOTAS Provision | Wokingham

Location: Wokingham

Hours: 10 hours per week - Flexible days and timings

Setting: Home-based

Start: September

Are you an experienced EYFS or KS1 practitioner with a passion for supporting children with SEND?

We are looking for a creative, patient and nurturing tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil accessing EOTAS (Education Otherwise Than at School) provision in Wokingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands that every child learns differently and can create a safe, engaging environment where learning is led by the child's interests and needs.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the pupil on a 1:1 basis from their home, focusing on play-based and child-initiated learning rather than a traditional classroom approach.

The pupil is non-verbal, so experience supporting children with SEND and an understanding of alternative communication approaches would be highly beneficial.

You will help to:

* Develop learning through play, exploration and the child's interests

* Build confidence, communication and engagement

* Create a calm, supportive and nurturing learning environment

* Adapt activities to suit the pupil's individual needs and abilities

* Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil

We're Looking For:

We're keen to hear from candidates with:

* Experience working within EYFS or KS1

* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND

* A patient, nurturing and child-centred approach

* The ability to adapt learning around an individual's needs

* Experience supporting non-verbal pupils or children with communication needs would be advantageous

* A genuine passion for helping children thrive outside of a traditional school environment

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a young person's educational experience, providing them with personalised support in a familiar and comfortable environment.

Interested? Apply today! Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
