Financial Accountant
Location: Skegness
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Benjamin Edwards are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established organisation in Skegness who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their busy Finance Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented, organised, and proactive finance professional who enjoys variety and responsibility. You'll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy across the business and supporting management with meaningful financial insights.

The role of the Financial Accountant
As the Financial Accountant, you'll play a key part in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of the business. Your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently
* Designing and implementing accounts processes for new revenue streams
* Supporting and overseeing onsite and offsite finance staff (excluding payroll)
* Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Managing data transfer and reconciliation across multiple accounting systems
* Preparing monthly management accounts and meeting set deadlines
* Producing informative commentary for month-end board reports
* Reconciling inter-company balances
* Preparing VAT returns
* Supporting the annual statutory audit process
* Carrying out additional duties as required
* Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with all policies
The ideal candidate for the role of Financial Accountant
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified / Part-Qualified
* Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
* A solid understanding of UK accounting standards
* Strong Excel and systems experience (Sage or Xero desirable)
* The ability to analyse complex information and solve problems effectively
* Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethos
* Strong organisational abilities and the confidence to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team
